Organized at Quincy and mustered in July 31, 1861. The Battery was moved to Baltimore, MD August 8 – 11 and attached to Dix’s Command to February 1862. Mustered out at Boston, MA August 11, 1865. Lost during service four Enlisted men killed and mortally wounded and 26 Enlisted men by disease for a total loss of 30 lives.  The chronology below shows their assignments, service, and engagements with the enemy:
